Our Water Damage
Restoration Process
A proven, step-by-step process built on IICRC standards — from your emergency call through complete restoration. No guesswork, no shortcuts.

Why the Right Process Matters
Water damage restoration is a science. Skipping steps or using the wrong equipment leads to mold, structural damage, and denied insurance claims.
Speed Saves Money
Every hour water sits, it soaks deeper into materials and causes more damage. Fast extraction directly reduces your total restoration cost.
Hidden Moisture = Mold
Moisture behind walls and under floors is invisible until mold appears. Our thermal imaging finds it before it becomes a bigger problem.
Proper Drying Takes Days
Consumer fans are not enough. Industrial drying equipment runs continuously for 3–5 days to bring materials back to safe moisture levels.
Insurance Requires Documentation
Without professional moisture logs and damage photos, claims are delayed or underpaid. We document everything by the book.
The Complete 9-Step Process
Every job follows the same proven process — from your first call to the final walkthrough.

60-Minute On-Site Arrival
Within 60 MinutesOur certified technicians arrive at your property within 60 minutes — fully equipped with truck-mounted extractors, industrial dehumidifiers, air movers, moisture meters, and thermal imaging cameras. We don't send a single person with a mop; we arrive as a trained crew ready to work immediately.
- IICRC-certified technicians on every job
- Truck-mounted extraction equipment on site
- Full drying and monitoring equipment brought in
- Personal protective equipment for Category 2 & 3 water
Inspection & Damage Assessment
First 30–60 MinutesBefore we move a single piece of equipment, we conduct a thorough inspection of the entire affected area. We use moisture meters and thermal imaging cameras to find hidden water behind walls, under flooring, and inside ceilings — damage that's invisible to the naked eye but will cause mold and structural problems if left untreated.
- Thermal imaging camera inspection of walls & ceilings
- Moisture meter readings throughout the property
- Water category and class determination (IICRC standards)
- Photo documentation of all damage for your insurance claim
- Verbal explanation of findings and recommended action plan
Water Extraction
Hours 1–4Rapid water removal is the most critical step — every hour water sits, it migrates further and causes more damage. Our truck-mounted extractors remove hundreds of gallons per hour, pulling water from carpet, hardwood, subfloors, and concrete. We also use specialty tools for extracting water from tight spaces and from inside walls.
- Truck-mounted vacuum extraction — up to 200 gallons per hour
- Submersible pumps for standing water
- Specialty wand extraction for carpet and padding
- Injection extraction for water inside walls
- Floor mat extraction system for hardwood floors
Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Days 2–5After extraction, significant moisture remains absorbed in building materials. We set a precise drying system using industrial air movers and LGR dehumidifiers calibrated to the specific size of your space, material types, and ambient conditions. We monitor daily using moisture meters and psychrometric data to ensure drying is progressing on schedule.
- Industrial LGR dehumidifiers (1.8–2.7 gallons/day capacity)
- High-velocity air movers placed to create optimal airflow
- Daily moisture readings logged and compared to targets
- Equipment adjusted as materials dry to maintain efficiency
- Drying typically complete in 3–5 days depending on severity
Mold Prevention Treatment
During Drying PhaseMold can begin growing within 24–48 hours of water damage — especially in Austin's warm climate. Once materials are dry or nearing dry, we apply EPA-registered antimicrobial treatments to all affected surfaces to inhibit mold growth. If mold is already present, we contain and remediate it before proceeding with repairs.
- EPA-registered antimicrobial applied to all affected surfaces
- Mold testing and air quality sampling if needed
- Full mold remediation for existing growth
- Containment barriers to prevent cross-contamination
- Post-remediation clearance testing available
Insurance Documentation & Claims
Throughout the ProcessWe handle all insurance documentation from start to finish. Our team photos every square foot of damage, logs all moisture readings, itemizes every affected material, and writes a complete scope of loss using Xactimate — the same estimating software your insurance company uses. We work directly with your adjuster so you don't have to.
- Photo documentation of all damage before, during, and after
- Moisture logs maintained throughout the drying process
- Complete Xactimate scope of loss for your insurance company
- Direct communication with your insurance adjuster
- Supplement management if additional damage is discovered
Restoration & Repairs
After Drying CompleteOnce your property is fully dry, our construction crew handles all restoration work — from drywall and flooring to painting and trim. We rebuild what the water destroyed, matching existing materials and finishes so your home or business looks exactly as it did before. No need to manage separate contractors.
- Drywall installation and finishing
- Flooring installation (hardwood, tile, carpet, LVP)
- Painting and texture matching
- Cabinetry and trim work
- Ceiling repair and texture matching
- Full turnkey restoration — one company, start to finish
Final Inspection & Sign-Off
Job CompletionBefore we pack up our equipment and close out your job, we conduct a thorough final walkthrough with you. We take final moisture readings to confirm all materials are back to normal dry standards, review all completed work, and make sure you are 100% satisfied before we consider the job complete.
- Final moisture readings across all previously affected areas
- Walkthrough with homeowner or property manager
- Review of all completed restoration work
- Final documentation submitted to your insurance company
- Satisfaction guarantee — we don't leave until you're happy
